Desktop Email Software such as Outlook


You can set up your desktop email software using the instructions below:

  1. Go to Tools > Account Settings
     
  2. Click on New Account and enter Next


     
  3. Click "Manually Configure Server Settings or Additional Server Types" and click Next. 


     
  4. Choose the Email Service IMAP and click Next 


     
  5. Fill out the following information below Full Name: Enter your full name
    Select IMAP as your Account Type
    Incoming Mail Server: E.g. secure.emailsrvr.com
    Outgoing Mail Server: E.g. secure.emailsrvr.com
    User Name: Enter your full email address
    Password: Enter your password    

                             
  6. Click on More Settings


     
  7. Click on the Outgoing Server Tab and Check Mark "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."    

                    
  8. Click on the Advanced Tab
    For Incoming Server (IMAP) and Outgoing Server (SMTP) change the encrypted connection to "SSL" 
    Incoming Server (IMAP) Port number should be: E.g. 993
    Outgoing Server (SMTP) Port number should be: E.g. 465 process forward by clicking Okay


     
  9. Click Test Account. If you do not pass your test, please go back to Step 5 and check your settings. 
     
  10. Click Next and Finish to finalize your setup.
     

Make sure that IMAP access is enabled. To do so, go into your email account and select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP section from the Setting menu.



You must click the configuration setting link under the IMAP part of the Forwarding and POP/IMAP section to identify your incoming mail server, outgoing mail server, and port number.
